I don't have a car for 2 reasons

I live in Copenhagen City, parking here is hell and i get from A to B much faster on bike than any care here, because of the heavy traffic.

I can't afford it, taxes here are so high, that you actually pay more in taxes than for the car itself

You're completely right Kriegs. I know in the USA you are allowed not to wear them, but here in Italy you're obliged to.
I recommend it too, specially to those youngsters who don't want to ruin their own hairstyles... they don't know how can you feel when you fall down to the pavement and break your bike and trousers ... without mentioning your bones....

Yea, i was going about 10-20mph on my bike, and a car suddenly stopped. My reaction was to hit the front break, couldnt hold it steady and I went face first to the pavement. Chipped 2 of my front teeth in half, and got a nice big scar on my forehead (from my sunglasses coming up and cutting me I believe). Yea, was going "just around the block, no need for helmet" hahaha

The bad thing is that even if I get it back it's going to be messed up since the hadlebars and kickstand were locked up and they will probably break both to be able to ride.
