If you all have tripods....what size do you all have? Whats it's maximum height? I'm looking to get a tripod, because the one I have is just a hammy down one from my dad, and is just about "done".

Right now i'm looking at a Sunpak - 59" model, i'm not lookin to spend a terrible amount of money, just a sturdy tripod that has a pretty good height. Just want to get some ideas about what everyone else is using. Thanks.

I have an "older" Manfrotto 190 thanks to Steeldolphin.

(It doesn't have the removable centre column or the ability to put the legs horizontal)

I have a ball head on it right now (with quick release) and would desperately like to change it to a 3 way head. Don't have the $70-90US for the 3-way head with levels though (Used).

Have you looked on E-bay you can get some good deals on Tripods there.

Are you able to test the tripod with your camera? Stability becomes quite an issue if you are doing close-up/macro shots.
