Nice pictures. First one worked out quite well (and no tree).
My wife wanted me to point out though that the text of north Knox looks off centre. :)

If you can't find Fuji Velvia, Fuji Provia is similar. If camera stores don't carry it then you could try professional photographers. I have found (at least in Canada) that they offer quite a few services like scanning and stuff and on the whole are quite nice (though you get a few that are stuck-up).

thanks guys...heheh yeah the text is problably off center, as I did it by eye. If i was ever to actually print these I would make sure its properly aligned. ;)

I may run down to Camera Experts this afternoon and pick up some Provia if they carry it.

That first one almost has a 'painterly' quality to it. Very good.

Provia is actually a finer grain film than velvia...it's said that provia even saturates the same if not better
Provia also comes in ISO400 and pushes nice

I have taken some susnet shots and early evening exposures with both films now, and I still like Velvia better, but to be fair I haven't properly benchmarked either.

look for anew post some time soon here. I will put up images shot at the same time...unfortunately not ht same subject but similar light with both provia nd velvia.

Mmm, color saturation.
The titling text is definately offcenter for the second picture. its more over to the right.

LOL, now is see what you where asking about in the tips section. Yeah the text is off center (its due to B.O.D. browser's optical distortion j/k)
