Hello,
I am currently working on a Web site project during my moonlighting hours.
I am a very good architect, engineer, programmer and I can work with many Web technologies.
Yet, I am not an artist and even less a graphic designer.
Therefore, as I get closer to completing database design and programming, I thought I would look for help.
Since this is one of my moonlighting projects, I do not have heaps of money to spend. Hence, I seek people who would be willing to contribute their talents as partners of sorts. Yet, since I clearly prefer excellence to mediocrity, I am not opposed to paying someone, but, clearly, I can't afford much. (This doesn't mean I do not admire and respect graphic designers!)
There are a few details on the project:
- It's a Web design project.
- The site will allow gamers to review video games.
- The site will allow gamers to receive video game recommendations.
A few implications:
- You should be familiar with issues and limitations associated with the Web as a medium.
- You should have some interest in graphic design styles used in the video game industry.
Now, what I have and don't have today:
- A small number of pages (less than 10) with absolutely no graphics
- I designed a few style sheets to make those pages more attractive
- No layout, I have not settled on a layout, yet
- While designing the style sheets, I used a specific color swatch, but I am not attached to it
This is what I anticipate I will need from a graphic design standpoint:
- A cohesive/unifying graphic charter
- A set of buttons and icons
- A set of graphical accents, to complement any selected layout
- 1 or several mastheads
- A logo
If you would like to contribute or help, please send me your comments, questions, quotes by PM.
Obviously, you may also reply to this post.
