Hi guys,

Ok I'm currently getting to grips with Adobe indesign 2.0 (Which I think is much easier to use than Quark atm) but any ways..

I got two peices of text and I need which I need to bring closer to each other when I make a line space (Return), but with the paragraph styles options I can only adjust the space after to 0mm, but this is still too large a cap.


Any ideas guys?

You can do either a soft return by hitting shift then enter to move the text onto the next line or more likely what you want is to adjust the Leading by:
Select the whole line, by tripple clicking I think, and then adjust the Leading in the Character pallet (upper right box in the pallet). You can set leading as a character style if you find you need to adjust many lines but not all to this value. You can also set it in the Paragraph styles if you want to apply it to whole paragraphs.
