I like how you have worked with the photograph element in the bottom corner. Its very strong there, but the type and layout for the rest of the poster is just not working for me. You need to push the typography in this one as there is very little else here for elements and it has great potential.

Perhaps some strnger font choices (maybe tighten the tracking as well)

Anyways I hope this helps. :)

everything helps :)
i do agree that the composition is off balance (top and bottom), but i honestly dont have any ideas.

i'm not quite sure what you mean about the tracking. if you mean the space between the letters, i increased the space between them so they could be more legible from a diagonal/distant point of view

The text you have faded behind the title, why don't you bring that to the front full strength saturation/opacity and get rid of the black.

Tracking is the spaces between multiple letters, as opposed to kerning which is the space between two letter pairs like "A" & "V".

I think you need to get more colour into the text and poster in general. Try changing the sub-headings to brown or blue (blues work well with browns). By sub-heading I mean the date and the two lines at the bottom.

If you are going to keep the music scale/line, whatever you call it, faded then I would make it bigger.

well i just had a talk with the guy organizing the event and we all agree:
the title needs work because the L and I characters are too alike,
the names of the groups that will be performing need to stand out more,
and i need to add some more bits and pieces of information.

other than that, everything's cool.

Thank you for your input guys, it really does help me keep things straight :)
