I don't know how many people on these forums, might be interested in poetry, prose, or any literary device, that might inspire. But I personally, love writing poetry. I was just suggesting, just maybe a forum. Because I believe, literature, and poetry, is a form of art.

Sure. Why not. I used to write, but was never satisfied with the results so I gave it up. Surely there are many people out there who enjoy writing poetry. One thing that you have to be careful of, is ridicule. I could imagine some people out there, immature enough to not take it seriously.

Oh I've gotten plenty of it. With me, I'm friends with everyone, at my school, I was in the top 10, b/c of my niceness, outgoingness, everything. Everyone loved me, girls...guys...everyone.. and then I got ridicule from about 10 or 15 guys, because they found out I wrote poetry. Didn't ruin it for me, but it was immature ya kno..

Well I will tell you what...interest in the past hasnt been high for this sort of thing, I have made a forum for it at one point but it was fairly unvisited, etc. I love writing and would lke to have something where people can post works of poetry or short fiction so if there is enough genuine interest this time I will create a sub forum for it. If it gets busy enough then I will create its own forum.

Did any one mention poetry..I once posted a poem over here in which was published.....

I also believe there isn't enough interest over here for such a topic to start it's own forum.....just post the stuff in nonsense or finished work ?

Marty: If it shws a popular vote I will put it under the Design and Art Finished work one....if it doesnt reach popular vote then just feel free to post it in that forum as a finished work...with the exception of traditional work pretty much anything goes there anyways. :)

I voted for it. I think the emphasis of the SDC should still be the visual arts, but I don't think it will hurt to have a forum with some poetry, and maybe even some short stories. It will be a nice diversion occasionally. I might even try my hand at poetry. I might be OK at it, since I have written songs before. I promise that any writing I do will be better than my Haiku earlier in this thread. ;)

I have added a writing forum in the Art and Design Section, here is hoping it gets used ;)
