Hi guys,

I made a screen shot to show ya's what is happing when I try import a tiff image into Quark (Although there are occasions when this doesn't occur) but for the most part it does.

When I save a image to Tiff format in Ps7 then output it then preview it it looks fine, however when I import the same image into quark the image seems to be enlarged and pixelated slightly (Please see link below)

Help to resolve would be greatly appreciated

Edit: I just imported the very same image into Indesign and the image imported perfectly (Unfortunatly my printer outputter dont use Indesign, so I'm stuck with Quark for the time being )

Thanks again guys! :)

Yeah Quark uses a low-res preview. In Quark 6 I think they have a hi-res one but not in 4 or 5 as far as I remember. Quark 5 may have it come to think but not for EPS files. Check in the preferences. If could also be different on PC vs Mac.

Another reason to use InDesign. ;)

would this low Rez option cause the image to enlarge on import m8?

Cheers!

the image doesn't enlarge when you import, but like freaky said Quark uses low-rez preview. I use Quark 4 so I don't know about how it looks in 6.

If you see the link below the image has obviously enlarged compared with the image exported with photoshop, the size which I need to work with. The image being low res I can handle for working purposes but the image growing in size I can't understand.

I mean I've no problem with image being low res within Quark as long as it was the size I needed it to be on imported.

Thanks again!

CHEERS FOR THE RESPONCE GUYS,

I've cracked my problem and man I feel stupid

I had my DPI set too high which my gave my untrained eye the impression that the image was larger.lol rofl

So I set both both app to 72 DPI and everything looked fine :grin2:

Very much appreciated!!!
