I see you have painted in the bg on a couple which is nice to see.

Have you thought of taking some time to work on straight digital painting? You should consider doing more backgrounds (scapes as I call them) and study some work by the greats like Mullins, etc. You have a lot of talent there, and it would be interesting to see you refine those backgrounds.

thanks for the comments, yeah i really do need to get the habit of painting its just really hard when you have no background with that kind of natural media. I'll definitely have to keep trying though.

i fixed the link to ravs site, and yeah Corey does post on PK every once in awhile under the sc "rey lite" hes a really good artist and hes a good friend of Locke.

You may want to make a few different threads for that many pics as it's sort of tough to remember all the details. The leather boots on the elf didn't really look leather-ish. I presume that's what they're supposed to be anyways.

The fingers on the American Bikini pic looked a little funny, but I can't blame you for that. :D

But the cuts and hilites looked really good.

Elf Maiden

I don't know if it was intentional or not but I love the way you did the background for this simple reason. It looks like you've blurred it a bit to make the focal point on the elf and not anywhere else. Excellent work there! (I hope it was intended)

The hilights on her seem to contradict themselves. On most of her body the hilights make it seem like the sun or light source is from directly in front of her because of the fact that both breasts, shoulders, cheeks, etc are hilighted equally. But on the dress on the left hand side (the excess that's hanging off to one side) the hilights are only on the top half of the material making me to think the light source is overtop of her.

I like the way you have his pants colored. The hilights are well placed and the pants look like their real material which is hard to do with digital coloring.

Background is too dark. Some of the detail is lost which is sad because of the overall talent.

Love the originality of putting pants on him. You did an excellent job of hilighting him all the way through in this one. Also the background seems to fit this pic nicely.

I like the work around the eyes. There is not a lot else to this pick so you seem to focus on her face so the effort there was worth it.

The hair seems to fold over itself and it almost looks as if some of the hair is coming through her body. I dunno, I am typing this at 2 in the morning so maybe that's it.

ok thanks for the crits and comments, by the way you critted it sounded like you thought i drew some of this stuff, which i didn't. The bg on the elf was intentionally blurry due to the fact that stuff does blur as it goes into the distance, and the focal pont reason. Oh and i f'd up on those folds, thanx for pickin that out :)

the akuma bg was kind of thrown in at the last minute, i was intending on coloring him darker and thats why the bg didnt fit. Plus i had no inspiration for a bg on that pic.

The donatello one was a really cool design and as far as i can tell it looked like a quick pen sketch (this guy's very good). As for the bg, ive always wanted to make an f'd up look to it and i did it, i went for simple coloring on it, but i still think i shoulda spent more time on it. As for the nude girl i had barely any linework except for her head and the part where i added stuff came in after i started coloring. Dead does plan on finishing this so i may color that one.
