With eddidit.com

Yes after a year in the making I've finally launched eddidit.com. My new personal portfolio website.

The site is mostly functional.. it somewhat validates.. seems areas around the php are having trouble will have to look into that more. But it's mostly done. :). Let me know if you catch any mistakes.

Oh and tell me what you think.

Yeah I got lazy so I redid it.. really wasn't too hard.


On a side note IE6/Wins I didn't want to deal with it cause I have a Mac.. but I went ahead and fixed those silly ie6 problems. gosh :)

There are some nit picks that I have of course. One of which is the copy in Who is this guy...you switch voice or point of veiw from third to first person.

The type is really small, but I am old and blind.:)

It would be nice to have the logo link back to the Main page as well.

You know it's hard to determine things on my monitor for some reason. I was able to clearly read the type. But it's funny images look fine on my monitor but darker on others.. esp CRT monitors. I have a LCD so maybe that has a factor. But I increased the font size a bit.

Thanks for pointing out the voice switch on the front page.

Ed that is the same problem with me, I'm on an LCD and things look great on my end, and different on other peoples end at times. Great work buddy!

Nice Ed. I have a couple of nit-pick-ish comments also: I find the #85827C text sort of difficult to see against the black. Maybe if you lightened it a little to, for example #B7B6B3. Just an idea. Also, you use a good visual cue: "two orange arrows means link", but you confuse the users brain when you also use the two orange arrows on text that's not a link (I know, I'm getting very Jakob Nielsen here.)

Having said all that, the site design is awesome. I really like the look of it, very slick and engaging. And the XHTML Trans is spot on mate! Good job. :alc:

Also it's intresting.. I'll try lightening it and see what happens. I'm starting to run into the screen monitor problem it seems. It's completely readable on my screen. This is hard. And you make a good point about the orange arrows. Cause I use them for bullets as well. I can easily change those now I think about it. In fact I will.
