well, the coming soon information is up on amazon.com. for those who have not read some of my previous spam around the intarwebnet, i was asked to co-author this book and was given free reign over my own chapter. i was asked to write about grunge and walk readers through a tutorial.

anyway, im not sure why all of the authors (namely me) are not listed, but figure that will change once friends of ed has given amazon more details on the book, including the cover. there are a total of 15 authors on the project. some of them i have heard of, and others i have not. i know that one of them is phunk from http://www.effectlab.com, who is one helluva nice guy. i have no clue what the cover of the book will be like. last time i talked to the project manager at friends of ed, he said their designers were currently working on it.

the book will come with a cd. my files include the layered psd of the image i created, some brushes, and a few of my favorite textures.

it is still cool to see this actually happen. i have had stuff mentioned and included in books/magazines before, but never an entire chapter, so this is pretty nifty, indeed.

for those who are interested, friends of ed is also releasing a 2nd volume to new masters of flash as well, but not being involved with that project, i have no information about it.

You are right in your assumptions. Once Amazon receives more information they will list the authors. Unfortunately, as this book has so many authors they might not all be listed in searches. It will usually have the primary author followed by ",et al". You will most likely be mentioned on the actual book page though, just like the first version:
