I started this a while back and never finished it.
It was supposed to a CD cover for Somehow Hollow but not sure if they still want to use this.
Anywho, I feel something is missing here...

it may give you that feeling because your elements are focused on the left of the design. dunno :|

but i really like the idea :)

The image is strong and the bottom left leaves room for some nice typography, and having said that...thats where this piece is weakest. You need some stronger typography, maybe something more scripty mixed with a nice sans-serif?

You are right about the font used here.
That was just a visual reference where the logo would go since I couldn't decide which one to use.

I'd like to see just a bit more of the lower left area (gears) where it fades to solid black.

I really like the pic...warm colors, nice blending, interesting concept of combining the natural and industrial elements.

Having said all that it does seem to be a bit heavy visually on the left side. I would suggest maybe blurring the leaves out a bit (they seem a bit harsh compared to the rest of the composition) and adding something like vertical "scan" lines (I'm thinking grungy lines here) down the right side. Probably in white or the light grey used with the typography.

I like it alot although the typo doesnt fit well. I know this has been said but I think if you blend the image with the typo a little more and fill some blank space it will look awesome. Good job though.
