I had my Master when I was 36. Never too old to start. I am now 38 if you wonder.

I don't instruct Fine Arts, but in my web design classes, about half of my students have been over 30. Same goes for all of my computer classes I guess. Usually the students are 18-21 or 30-40, not much in between or over.

when i went to college i was 26 or so, but there was at least a half dozen people in some of my classes over 30 and even over 40... its never too late to start and do something you want to do.

I have had the same thought but have come to the conclusion, that if I decide to finally get an education, age will probably be the last thing to stop me:)

Unfortunately, according to contemporary American culture, at about age 30 you are really old and your life is basically over. It's a ridiculous attitude I know, but it pervades, believe me, I went through it. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that the average American IQ today is about 30.

At the age of 31.....I got divorced, went bankrupt and lost every thing I had-even my 2 children....so I went to Greece and worked over there for 6 months on the beach as a beachboy and at night time in a pub -where I had free food, drink and sex !......I then toured Europe and ended up in Amsterdam wasted for 4 days.......
I then went to London and worked as a builder, doorman and played guitar in a wee pub, then the police came and arrested me and flew me back to Scotland- 1st class handcuffed, as I forgot to appear in court- then I went back to London..............and then I went back to Greece and worked for another 6 months.....then flew to Sweden and stayed in a apartment with 3 nurses....stayed in Sweden for 3 months..
Took a ferry back over to Scotland .....got a job, a new apartment....my Swedish girlfriend then came over.....we got married and then went back over to Sweden...went to college for 2 years and learned a new language.............started a whole new life with absolutly nothing....
This is just a short version of what I did and achieved in my early 30's.................so any thing is possible and never out your reach Yunir...believe me !.....

@ yunir : It´s never too late to study art!

@ Scotty : That was pretty massive information in just a few rows of text!

It´s always interresting to hear peoples stories...
Mine isn´t that interresting though, I was born under the almighty emperor of Murphy´s law, and had bad luck ever since (exept for my 2 kids)!

I have had the same thought but have come to the conclusion, that if I decide to finally get an education, age will probably be the last thing to stop me :)

yunir, age has nothing to do with it. Whether you're 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, or 90... if you want to go to art school, by all means... go to art school, and don't let anything stand in your way. :)
