Hard at Work

This month's theme is about people, machines or animals, hard at work. This could also include the aspect of people going to school (we know what hard work that is right?). Have fun and be creative.

hmm I guess I am :P... I thought of some cool stuff to take shots of, but I don't want to make the scenes myself... they need to be natural... hope I see someone doing the things I'm thinking of

I shot this today at the Waveland Historic Site (http://www.state.ky.us/agencies/parks/wavelan2.htm) here in Lexington, KY. This is inside of slave quarters' dining area. While men were "Hard at Work" female slaves would prepare their meals.
This place made me very sad :(

Well I have to say this is kind of up my alley sort of... I work in the construction trade as a Heavy Equipment Operator and this is a pic of my track excavator.

This is a shot of the under belly, I was adding more grease to the tracks to tighten them up a bit...

I was going to submit a couple of the salmon project pics but decided after working on coming up with this recipe for dinner tonight it would be nice to post something new.

I don't have a name for it but it consists of prosciutto ham, shrimp and scallops seared in butter and rosemary olive oil.

Then I combined brushetta, mushrooms and scallions sauteed in a reduced wine/butter sauce and topped it all over garlic/chive mashed potatoes.

I dont have any ideas for Oct, and i dont really have the time to run it this month so I was going to announce a one month Hiatus for the photothemes and start again in November...I dont really know at this point.

It would be pretty flexible for both color and black and white shots.
So something along the those lines.

BINGO !!!...Right theme and right month...you could combine Oct and Nov for this.......then have a Dec one...
