Hey guys, I have a few questions about printings etc, so hope someone can help me out here :)

I'm interested in starting to sell prints. I've seen people at deviantart sell prints there, does it cost to sell prints there? I read somewhere that you get a certain amount of what you sell only.

Or do you think it's better to sell prints somewhere else?... if so then where?

I'm confused myself, don't even know what my real questions is, but anything you know about printing, where to sell, how to do it etc, just write :grin2:

at DeviantArt, you pay a one time fee to be able to use the service. The quality is really really great. I've ordered a few of my own, and must admit they turned out fantastic.

Going through DA is kinda nice, they already have a large base to have people unfamilar work have the possiblity to buy it. They do the shipping, which is nice to not to have to worry about. The downsides are: You get paid every quarter. They set the base price, you set the main price. So, main price - base price = your profit. So the higher your main price, the more profit.....

Now, theoretically, you could order a bunch of your work at base price yourself (owners of the prints get base price). And sell at your site and make a tad more profit, but then you worry about shipping.

That's really sneaky and smart, buying and selling at your own website (evil grin), I might just do that ;)... but then again, I hate shipping stuff (yuck).

Anyway's, thanks allot, i think I'll sign up at DA pay the fee and try to sell a few there for starters.

Another thing came to my mind, what if you sell a print for 1, 2 or 3 dollars , can you buy your own prints for less then? the base price :D..thats smart to do if you want to buy your own and sell them on your website!, you save quite a few bucks :grin2:
