I have a unique suggestion:
You know how you have your art contest?
Well how about having one of those but with slightly different rules:

a collaboration with noob and expert using any medium. With this noobs can learn a few "tricks" to put up their sleeves and pros can teach some amateurs out there (like myself) new things.

Whad-do-ya-say to that?

That's a good idea.. I don't mind lending a hand to new comers when I have the chance.

That does sound like a great idea. I'm in no way an expert, but I could maybe teach or show a few things. Just don't look at me for web-design...ugh...

Thanx you all. I thought it was dumb at first and these jackasses from another forum called it an excuse to steal art. Can u believe that?

Well some people do consider themselves "elite" but my opinion is if you are as good of an artist that you think you are.. then you'll know that there is nothing new under the sun. Why not help out people what good is it to die with your treasures it will serve no on but the dirt you are buried with.

i always measured success with what treasure and values one can obtain through the riches one's talent can bring. don't you agree?

Actually I don't agree. treasures and values are meaningless they are merely dust in the wind. Here for second then gone. We long so much in life to have treasures and valubles but for what? We are only here for an instant and everything that you gather here on earth will just stay here. What will your sucess or treasure or valuables do when your dead. Think of a man, he had everything you could think of, talents that could fill up a room. Then one day he dies, what will people say? Not much.. they may mourn him for a while but then move on. People who have lots of treasures and valuables their names are never remembered. Then how successful could they have really been?

Success is not measured by the amount of things a man has but by the amount of character the man is. I can name some one who is the most succesful person in history and didn't have treasures and his valubles were better than the things you could touch. His name is Jesus, I'm not going to preach on him. But I will say why he is the most successful man in history. He came to this world and was only here for 33 or so years. But only 3 or 4 years of his life is recorded. He managed to change the world forever. So much that

1. People died for his name.
2. People were killed because of his name.
3. People were killed if they didn't believe in him.
4. Wars have been started in the name of him.
5. No other person in history has moved millions of people across time to change their lives because of their words.

Now that's success. Changing the world in the generation you live and for generations to come. No treasures and valuables of earthly porportions. Treasure the things that you can't hold value the things that change your life.

i agree, but by values I mean friends. When a friend is in need I draw him/her a postcard. It helps them know that I care and they always show it off to their friends and they always ask me to do something for them. To me that is one of the greatest riches in the world, to be rich with friendship as well as wealth.

I hate to break up a good debate (i believe we have a forum thread for that) I want to get back on the subject at hand. If anyone is interested in doing this kind of thing perhaps we should submit the idea to Steel and see if he can give us a private thread for this. If anybody out there likes the idea please pm me and lets try to make this happen cause i'm really anxious (whatever) to learn some things from you and possibly maybe another noob out there other than myself can go that extra mile with the guidance of one of the pros in this forum. I think it is the highest honor to learn from a main source other than writing in a book.

Well this sounds interesting, but i will leave it up to the members to organize. You guys can start your own threads in the collab forum and go from there.

Have fun with it. :)
