Hello,
Sorry to post what is most likely a no brainer question, but really I've been struggling with this for about a month now and decided to finally post...

I have an .ai file (b&w line art) that I need to open in Photoshop. I've tried exporting it at a PDF, a PSD, or even a JPEG but when I open it up in PS it shows up very tiny (yes I am viewing "actual pixels".

I know I must be exporting it incorrectly, but don't know what my mistake is.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thank you in advance, Carmen Isais

Your problem is size. :)

You file will open in Photoshop the same size you created it in Illustrator. Make it larger in Illustrator and it will be larger in Photoshop. You can use the Transform Pallet or the Info Pallet. If you hit Control "r" you will get the rulers and this will help a bunch. You can change the measurement system in the document setup. Inches is my preference.

PDF is probably not the best way to transfer the file either. AI, EPS or just copy and paste may be better. Photoshop and Illustrator treat PDFs in different ways. More specifically Photoshop has it's own kind of PDF that is different than most other kinds.
