Here are 3 wip's for a site I'm building. They make organic flour and pancake mixes. The first 2 are mostly the same, just a different picture in the banner.

they have a nice logo, and I saw the packaging. Its nice to be able to work from something like that once and a while instead of the stuff we usually get from clients right? ;)
I personally like the third revision the best simply because of its uniqueness, however the problem with that one will updating the navigation as it may be a bit more difficult, or maybe it wont depending on what sneaky tactics you decide to use. :)
Your comp designs are coming along nicely joel.
Cheers.

3rd as well. The headers in the first 2 are a bit, loud. Plus they have a basic nav, the nav on the third is well integrated and distinctive.

i find the taupe background color to be too orangeish, and a bit too saturated. same with the dot and line border - i would tone the color down.

Good points, I'll fool around some and see what I can do.

Pic numba #3! :) I agree with mojo on this one that the headers in #1 and #2 have alittle too much going on in it. But nice work nonetheless.

I also agree that pic #3 is the best, although it might make for some headaches if more navigation ever needs to be added.
Existing logos are always handy!

Ok, here are some updates. The first 2 haven't changed much except for the colours. The third one has been changed to work better at 800x600. I also though about only having the content portion scroll, but it would look really bad at larger screens res. So I changed it to be liquid on both width and height. of course the minimum height will be the same as the nav on the left.
