Errr, probably not the biggest news on these forums, so feel free to move this thread to a more suitable place, as I am not sure where to put it :)

I have totally re-designed my entire site. Tascha did all the implementation based on WordPress, and MAN she did a great job! :) I just love PHP!

There's a couple of new features, and a few things that still needs fixing, but they will be within a few days!

Looks great. The tree on the header and the side looks brilliant.
I'm not so keen on the yellow and black construction tape as I think it doesn't fit with the theme.

I like it seems to match your style well. Although I think the rusted metal would have looked great throughout the design instead of the that section. But it's very nice.

but, please, loose the splash page, just throw in a redirection script instead...

edit: i would of also made it a different directory like /site or something other than /wordpress. but, i'm picky. Still love the design, I'll be sure to post at Phirebrush's news today.

I agree with Kriegs on getting rid of the splash page. I've never liked splash pages anyway, not even for pre-loading (less of an issue in this day & age of broadband). Otherwise, the site looks wonderful! And you can't go wrong with the generated XHTML 1.0 Transitional. I'm impressed! Great work Henning and Tascha! :)

As I have said before.....it looks wonderful and I am sure it will be a hit with your visitors........a job well done by both you and Tascha....shes not just a pretty face eh!

I am pretty fired up about that "spotlight" feature. I have some really interesting artists and their art works in mind. Will hopefully have the first one ready during the upcoming weekend at the latest.

As several of you are mentioning, I should perhaps drop that splash page... I'll look into that, and ask Tascha if she can help me with that /wordpress directory, I think it's possible to change it or hide it or something, hmmm, guess changing it mean a lot of manual changing of links though, heh...

I am in a love and hate relationship with wordpress right now. I mean it's a great tool - specially the cms behind but men - talk about being limited.
I had to figure out how to do that stupid rollover navigation all with css (sorry Henning - you know what I mean ;)) It was a b**** to implement that whole design into wordpress.

I was simply too lazy to rename the wordpress folder (I should have though I agree). I'll look into either changing the foldname or hide the page-urls completely after I am back from my trip to Switzerland. Whatever Henning decides.

Now I need to spice up my own site a bit more. It's kinda "dead" comparing to Hennings, but then I was never into really complicated designs - it wouldn't fit my style. I like it simple and elegant :D

I can appreciate the amount of work that goes into that, especially integrating wordpress.

I would suggest taking the site out of the wordpress folder if at all possible...at least for SEO purposes. Its not a big issue but it is easy to do I would do it. :)

My vote it is on losing the splash page...its nice and all but serves no purpose I can see. ;)
