OK I need to send out a 30x40 inches size JPEG for a Lightbox advertisement to a casino. The AD that my boss wants to use is 8 x 11 inches (300dpi) because it was for a magazine.

The fighter images that I used and stock images are maxed at like 12-13 inches, should I just enlarge the whole thing and lose sharpness or how should I go about doing this?

Any help would be great....... soon, Thanks in advance leon!

Well for something that large detail up close isnt paramount, lightbox stuff or large signage is meant to be discernable from a distance not scrutinized up close, In fact some of the large print stuff i have done for tradeshows the printer has specifically asked for the large dimension jpegs at 72 dpi and they turned out great for that purpose.

There isnt much you can do if you dont have the right file size to begin with so I say scale it up and see what happens. The printer or service you are using should be able to give you more informaion or suggestions as well.

Great man thanks, I scaled it up and zoomed in at 100% and it didnt look bad at all?!!? Maybe it will print bad? I don't know I will call them and ask for their opinion.
