Okay based on suggestions by adam in the photoshop techniques section I have decided to recreate my landscape. This is a very early stage, I am trying to get the rocky feel and texture of the mountains.

You really captured the depth, it doesn't look flat at all, which such pieces imo often do! Great work! Can't wait to see more.

its coming along well, you should try a brush about twice the size as the one you are using now for the actualy rock face, it will make the rocks more noticable

Okay starting to define some rocks and stuff...got the clouds started...but Iam stuck with the general mood...I know I am going to problably need some warmer highlights or something but I am also not sure of what to place in the foreground if anything.

Looks great so far! With some more color in there for mood and such it will be even better. I am not sure what to recommend for the foreground, maybe a lake?

I am not so sure anymore...I think the rock formations are too big...well I will think about it now. :)
