It has taken me forever and given me lots and lots of headackes, but here it is, my new portfolio. It's beta stage as there are known bugs and issues to be taken care of, though I have no idea how to fix those on my own, I'm a CSS virgin.

Known css issues;

IE
Left content (from under the navigation) is to low.

Safari
Left footer jumps up a few pixels when vertical images load on resolutions that adds a scrollbar.

All browsers
Footer overlaps content if the content and footer meet i.e. low resolutions.

Other issues;

Galleries
Eventually when I get the script done as planned all work that looks like they are in a serie WILL be in a serie. They will then be on the same link just more than one and one image with text and descriptions if needed.

Visit jcolsen.com (http://jcolsen.com)

Let me know what you think, and if you know any solutions to any of the problems except the gallery, (that is being taken care of), please let me know. I would be very greatful.

Thanks!

PS: Sorry for dumping this not being around more than I am. I will try to be around more :whip:

I really like the new site. :)

Here is a site that might help you with the footer problem:

Clicky (http://www.alistapart.com/articles/footers)

It has a few methods.

Wonderfully done JC! I have no crits, and even if I do, they don't matter. Fantastic look and feel, and building it in Strict 1.0 is all the more impressive! :grin2:

I know, but the props were for doing the right thing and attempting to build it in XHTML 1.0 Strict in the first place. You'll get it validating eventually. If you get stuck, let me know what the W3C validator is telling you. Good work man. :)

Jeff actually I will hold you to what you said as I can't figure out how to validate my newsletter form, and I do not dare do much to it as I didn't make it. Hmm...

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jcolsen.com%2Findex.php&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline

as you can see its not good hehe

Chris: We "exchanged" links a looong time ago true, but you never did put it up back then either lol :D

JC I am a true monster...I apologize.

I have added you to the More Affiliates page: http://www.steeldolphin.com/more_affiliates.html

This page is accessed by clicking on the "More" button under the "Dolphin Friendly" tab on any page of the current SDC site. I created a quick button for you but if you have one you want me to use let me know.

When I relaunch the new SDC site the affiliates will be organized better and whatnot so hopefully this is okay.

text links really are the way to go but its always good idea to give your potential link partners as many options as possible :) So yeah make a few buttons ;)
