We are discussing press signatures not forum signatures.
Signatures are a press sheet that has more than one finished page on it. For example it is common to print 2, 4, 8 and even 16 8.5 by 11 on one press sheet. This is usually done with books, magazines and newsletters.
After the sheet is printed then it is usually folded down to finished size. Then it maybe combined with other signatures to reach the finished number of pages. It will then be bound and have final trimming done.
