D100 Test shots -
Finally! After have had the D100 on the shelf for a couple of months I've bought me a lens. Bought me a wideangle lens, not my intention, but I got a good price on it and I need a wideangle lens later on anyway. Just, not what I wanted to buy first. I quickly found out that this is not the same as shooting with film hehe... Feel like I have to learn it all over again.
Anyway, here are some test shots.
C & C's welcome.

PS: The monitor I'm on at the moment is broken so I don't know if the pictures are displayed correct.

That first shot rocks, really...sweet shot.
Must be nice to have the Digital Camera....how do you find the quality of the pics on your D100 and I mean not web photos but for prints?

Thanks guys. :)
SD: I don't know. Have only had the lens for a few hours so I haven't made any prints yet. But it shoots in 3008x2000px at 300dpi while set to RAW so they should be great. (Hopefully)... You can even choose colorprofile like Adobe RGB, sRBG I and sRGB II. I have mine set to Adobe RGB at this point.
Edit:
I took these shots on my way back home from the store after I bought the lens. :D

All of them are cool, expecially the first one.

Thats pretty good, usually lens add up after awhile, I know my uncle's really big into photography and some of the prices he pays for lens is pretty out there, but they do make a diffrence though.

Yeah I know... I paid 920 USD for this one... But I got with it a 512Mb memorycard for free. Only a slow Lexar 8x CF I card, but it's getting me started. ;)

JC, just like everyone said, that first one just amazing! Can you say Resident Evil ;)
512Mb card? I'm still using my old 128Mb SanDisk :(

Yeah the first one is very good, the rest are nice as well.
The speed of the camera has an impact as well, you will find that the fastest cards are actually limited by the camera. Check the database here: http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/multi_page.asp?cid=6007-6020
Good lenses do make a difference, I notice the poorer quality in my telephoto lens which was cheap compared to my wide angle and standard lenses.

Yeah I know... That sucks for us that's not rich. I had a crappy cheap 100-400mm for my old canon. Extreme difference.
@jc - those photos are really good. should be in the regular photo section instead of just for fun. your just for fun shots are better than a lot of my photos when i am really trying. :)

nice shots JC. The moods are nicely conveyed in the images. That first one looks like it could be in a design magazine about victorian decoration.
