Well kinda plain and simple but I like painting clouds but have a great difficulty in getting clouds I am happy with. :(
I would normally add some more colors in, but i was sticking to the more monochromatic look in this one just trying to build volume with the one shade.
I must get my Kung fu stronger with clouds. :)

Nice work Chris. It looks like it's about to rain. Have you tried any other types of clouds? I'd love to see you take a whack at some whispy swooping summer clouds. It's pretty common to see a layer of each in the sky. I can't remember which ones would be on top, though. Anyway, nice work. Keep it up!

heheh...birds? j/k
Eraser: I think you might be refering to stratus altus or something, the whispy ones (anyone out there a meteorologist?). I have the most dificulty with the Cumulus type depicted here, especially the really volumnious ones that look like they are rooling over getting higher and higher in the sky.
I problably will do some whispy ones sometime they are a bit easier. :)

No there are birds in there ;)
Ed: thanks. :)
Keep working at them, I find that the more I do the more comfortable I get. It helps to go through tons of sky photos once and a while, and sometimes a formation will stick in mind for later use. :)
