I just made this design in Photoshop and I'm kinda stuck on where to go now... if anyone could help me, please do.

my next suggestion, would be either figuring out a table layout and/or placing an Iframe in your 'content box?'. If you have problems with that, you can always refer to http://www.htmlgoodies.com or if you want some scripts, http://www.hotscripts.com

Do you have a goal in mind for this website?

Or are you simply creating visual layouts?

I've noticed that a LOT of people (myself included) decide to immediately dive into creating visual designs, and then attempt to squeeze content into that design later on. Understandable... The lure of making "cool" or "slick" designs is tempting.

However, most often, it should be the other way around: develop your overall purpose, content, structure, labels and navigation, then style it. (Or, do both at the same time (sometimes referred to as "rapid prototyping").)

While it's not very coherent, check out my latest post (http://www.rabbitcreative.com/index.php?p=34) to get an idea of what I'm doing, mentally, for a new design of my own website.

Oh, and in order to actually answer you question, I'd need to know more about your site, and what kind of stuff you intend it to hold. But I'm willing to bet that if you had a clear view of those things, you wouldn't be asking a question like this. :)

Keep up the good visual work though, and good luck.

Rabbit made some very good point. PLaning before design is always crucial.

I have to say that I think you will have trouble getting that to optimize to a decent file size. Also getting it to look good at varying browser sizes could prove to be difficult as well. Removing the patterned background would help a lot with both those problems.

I agree with both Arch Stanton and Rabbit...good points made. I am still going through the concept and 'architectual' phase of the SDC redesign....it hasnt even left my paper notebook yet.....its can be along but rewarding process if ou really give thought before hand.
