I took this picture in a group of old state buildings in a nearby city. I added a little tone in ps. The pictures I have been taken are my first in about four years and I am still trying to get back into the swing of things. If anyone has any advice, I'll take anything I can get.

thats a cool scene its alost spooky because of the tree and the old brick feeling.
It almost could use some more sharpness and some minor adjustments to the lower end values (darker shadows)

i think sd nailed the feeling of the picture. also agree with the suggestion of sharpening. very cool picture.

Here is an adjusted pixc of the door, with level adjustments as suggested by steel dolphin. I think that the contrast adds alot to it. Much better, thanks for the advice.

You should try using a deeper depth of field on a shot like that....I would prefer to see the lamp post and tree focused.
However, since your subject is the door, the tree and lamp post are distracting. Photographers should be minimalists.....don't think of what you can put in your photo, think of what you can take out.
