Here are some more pics from that roll of Ektachrome (Tungsten). These pics were taken at gyro beach. A Cokin circular polarizer was used wich helped somewhat with the mood. I was completely experimenting here. I bracketed the exposures and I found the exposures that were slightly underexposed gave the desired results for me. As it turns out slide film tends to give more saturated colors with slight underexposure.

This was the tungsten balanced stuff you were trying out huh??

I didn't think it would turn out THAT blue. You know, due to the monochromatic nature of the images, they would print really nicely as a negative image.

Yeah, there has only been minor levels adjustments from the scan - this is pretty much true blue so to speak.

Pretty scary really. I like how flesh tones appear with this film, however I have no samples to show you.

The color really adds a note of 'drama' and mood to the pics, its rather eerie. I really like ektachrome8.

Yeah, i took some tungsten in NYC and SF. But the stupid developing lab colorbalanced it for normal.
REALLY annoying.

yeah if you are getting prints from the slides or having them put to cd you have to warn them that you were purposely doing what you were doing.

However with automated places like London Drugs here where I live, they have no control over the process and the 'computer' automatically adjusts for them.

Yeah, there is like all of two prolabs here in Canberra. And another 6 masquerading as prolabs.

REALLY annoying.

The water ones were very cool.
Great atmosphere! Set that to some mood music and you really have something.

mmmm, landscape pics, I love em. Just something about the pure nature pics that make me wanna sit back and relax. Maybe that's just me though. Excellent work.

thanks. I dont honestly think that there are too many people out there that dont enjoy landscapes, I think it goes as far as the simple human appreciation for nature.

That's problably why there are soooo many landscape photographs(ers).

I love shooting landscapes especially in the okanagan. However its not what I want to do with my photography as a whole, its more for the pure relaxation of it, and the peace of being out there waiting for nature to give you that gift.
