This was a class project where we had to make an advertisement for some generic celphone and call it a "nokia"
We had to use certain text and images. And we only had around an hour to finish.
I just wanted to make it look like cardboard cutout standup things and try to get them looking as real as I could yet cartoony (exagerated perspective) with just an hour. The images were terrible so I wanted to get people to focus on something besides them.

I think this is a great ad adam. I like the angles and directionals you have created with the perspective (i have highlited them on the image below). Personally I think those arent that bad of photos too work from.
I am a bit confused though as to why u chose to use the font u did for the brand of 'Nokia'. Considering this is an actual exisitng company and its for a school project I cant see the harm in actually using the company's logo as I have taken the liberty of doing in the version below (I will await all the nasty emails from Nokia :) ).

Good work adam.
Ya I would have gone to get the logo but we werent supposed to use any other images. It was a competition so you wont get a bad grade, youd just get disqualified. Also the picture had to be 200dpi, we would have been docked serious points if we used a 72dpi image from the net. The judges(teachers) checked everything used to see if it was 200dpi (they tried to trick us by making the cloud picture really big in size but at 72 dpi).
I wanted to put the nokia logo in the celphone screen also but I didnt feel like gambling with that.
I would rather them have us do a made up company. I thought it was really lame that they made us do a nokia ad but didnt give us the nokia logo or even a phone that said nokia.
thanks

that's great, I think you did a good job on that ad. I also agree with everything that's already been said :)

Looks good to me, but there is something weird happening on the index finger and thumb of that hand, and I can't quite identify its purpose, maybe its a jpeg anomaly, or maybe its the shadow.
