These are ALL my current photos, I'm obviously quite new to photography...thus, I have no clue what I'm doing when taking a picture in terms of the rules. Anyone know of an online resource for basic rules of photography?
Anyway, here they are:

The first photo made me ooh, then the 2nd made me awe...the third is just too cute and the fourth one made me think you shouldn't be so modest! Great pictures imo :) This is my first post to the rebirth of the forums and to answer your question "about an online resource for photography" you just made a good start.
Thanks for sharing!

Got some nice shots there Solarian.
Looks like you should have done some dusting on a couple of the shots. :)
Rules???? Nobody told me there were rules. :cheeky:
You could try photo.net
There are some interesting articles at luminous-lanscape.com

Great subjects, some really good composition, and some really nice shots. It would seem you have a natural eye for it. ;)
I like photomagazines personally...I dont know what it is but Iprefer them to surfing the web for stuff on it...

Thanks for the great feedback guys, sheesh! I'll definitely check out photo.net. Steel Dolphin 1. what's your real name, so I don't have to be all lame with the alias 2. what magazines would you recommend?

Seriously. I tried to pick up violin, but I haven't touched the damn thing for months now.

Some very nice shots. I esp like the one with the pillared building. I think the birds flying between makes it work but who knows I have some very odd ideas.
Really nice sunset too. Pity about the person skulking in the background. :)

I agree.
First few were really good but I think they would look much better
with a bit more contrast. Other than that it's all good :)
