Graphic Junkies (http://graphicjunkies.com/), a contest site for designers, photographers, and artists alike, is now live. To kick off the first contest, there will be a friendly little competition entitled "Who Do You Think You Are?" Sounds like a fancy way of saying "create a self

well, i submitted news about gj to deviant art (http://news.deviantart.com/article/14334/) and it was picked up on their home page, which has sent a nice amount of traffic to the site. also, kriegster was nice enough to mention gj on newstoday (http://www.newstoday.com) so the site has seen a lot of activity.

more entries have been posted, bringing the total up to 95.

i am waiting on the name server update to take place on the graphicjunkies.com domain. when this happens i will be able to filter the contest entries via another email and users will have a handy form with file attachment options to use rather than just clicking an email link.

graphicjunkies.com v2 is already in the planning stages. once this current contest wraps up, the new site, winner, and new contest will be launched at the same time in an effort to help boost the overall promotion of the site and contest.

on the horizon are some really cool ideas as well. i have had 2 people step up and say that they would donate prizes and i appreciate that. there is one prize that would be pretty huge and i am sure the entries would come flooding in for it. since it is not set in stone, i do not want to count my chickens before they hatch, so just stay tuned. if anyone is willing to sponsor a future competition, contact me privately and let me know what you are willing to donate.

I haven't had time to look over all the entries, but what I have seen, took me by surprize.....there are astonishing submissions here........well done to all who was involved...

up to 118 entries or so and it also snagged coolstop pick of the day last week, so that was a plus. :)
